We create gardens that provide the perfect fit for their setting, and reflect the uniqueness of their owners. Whether you’re in the city or countryside, a fan of sleek and contemporary, or love traditional English flower gardens, we will find a design solution that helps you to make the most of your garden and enjoy spending time outdoors.

In smaller city gardens, attention to detail is paramount and simple, beautiful solutions are often key. Rather than framing vistas, there is frequently a need for screening out neighbours or increasing privacy. We design a lot of gardens in London, where housing stock varies from period terraces to modern townhouses and increasingly clients are blending the two with contemporary extensions to Victorian architecture. We can work with you to create a garden that reflects your personality, the aspect and soil conditions, and helps you to enjoy the great outdoors no matter how small the space.

A COOL OASIS IN THE HEART OF CHELSEA

In this garden in Chelsea, the brief was to create a low maintenance garden that was nevertheless a lovely, relaxing space that provides an oasis of calm away from city life.  A planting palette of cool blues, silvers and lavenders complements the pale hues of the stone.

Details such as use of reclaimed London brick and the upcycling the original chimneypots from the property as planters, ensure that the contemporary design stays true to the history and location of the garden.

A CONTEMPORARY FAMILY GARDEN IN GREENWICH

This family garden in Greenwich combines contemporary design with child-friendly use of space, provide eating, cooking, entertaining, relaxing and play spaces all in a 12x7m space. The lush green planting pops against the dark painted fencing. An outdoor kitchen includes barbeque, hob and prep space with a bar table, so that the chef can have company while he cooks. A sunken trampoline is hidden behind the built-in lounge seating, making use of the changes in level on the site to screen the play equipment. A painted wood pergola enfolds the dining area with more greenery, and a Himalayan birch grows through the louvred roof, screening the property behind, its bark providing a wonderful contrast with the colour of the woodwork.
